The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for leading the success of clients' online marketing programs, including paid and natural search. The AM provides thought leadership on search strategies and optimization; builds strong relationships and establishes clear lines of communication with clients, partners and internal staff members. The AM is analytical and uses problem solving capabilities to assure flawless program execution to meet and exceed stated objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Account Management
Assumes accountability and ownership of search program successes and failures for several client accounts. Monitors and reports program financials, budgets and fees to senior management.
Interfaces with other department leads to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for clients.
Keeps management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business
Program Management
Directs and manages the daily work flow of all client search programs, including initiation and management of projects across departments
Reviews client deliverables for quality and ensures that recommendations and work product are sound and viable. • Creates and executes search account strategies and plans for each client.
Develops and modifies bidding strategies and effectively manages keyword strategies on paid search engines.
Understands natural search optimization best practices and articulates knowledge and client deliverables effectively.
Provides excellent communication via phone, emails and direct contact.
Effectively creates and delivers client presentations.
Provides thought leadership to clients in search and online marketing.
Commands data analysis of key metrics to identify, recommend and implement changes for increasing the performance of client programs.
Manages budgeting, forecasting, billing and invoicing.
Meets specified deadlines.
Team Leadership & Development

Adopts stated account management standards and program management best practices.
Assists in training, mentoring, and developing team members.

Education/ Experience requirements:
Bachelors degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred
3-6 years of account management experience in online advertising, direct marketing, or e-commerce
Search engine marketing experience • Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills
Minimum of 1-2 years as associate account manager or equivalent if internal candidate
High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks
The Associate Account Manager (AAM) is responsible for supporting client accounts towards stated client and company objectives. Reporting to an Account Director, the AAM provides assistance to internal client service teams, and at the direction of account manager/director, initiates and coordinates projects working with other internal departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Client Service & Program Support
Provides daily account service to assigned client accounts, including interaction via phone, emails and direct contact.
Conducts one-on-one updates with account manager.
Participates in weekly / monthly client calls.
Submits and manages requests for copy and reporting via Shared Services organization.
Assists with competitive reviews.
Assists with program tests.
Implements best practices in account and program management.
Analytics and Reporting
Supports assigned accounts in pulling data and creating reports and presentations.
Tracks work assignments daily.
Manages and updates client task reports.
Tracks and reports client budgets.
Performs AdHoc analysis and reporting.
Education/ Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred
1-3 years of work experience in online advertising, direct marketing, or e-commerce
Strong analytical and implementation skills.
High competency level in MS Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
Internet experience preferred.
Able to work as directed and balance multiple tasks
The Bid Strategist will manage keyword bidding on search engines for more than 60 Google, Yahoo, and MSN relationships. The strategist will combine a rules-based approach with a portfolio management strategy to focus on a client’s ROI, cost-per-click, and bid goals. The strategist will work closely with Account Managers, Associate Account Managers, and other members of the Bid Strategy Team to optimize programs within specialized components of search engine marketing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide keyword bidding services to assigned client accounts, including interaction via phone, emails and direct contact.
Bid management for a client includes:
Help coordinate launch of new accounts and new keywords
Manage and update daily account reporting overviews
Generate full analysis for each relationship on a regular basis to determine which bids to change
Contribute to bid strategy innovations and test new products
Meet regularly with Account Managers to discuss status of accounts and optimization opportunities
Sit in on weekly / monthly client search calls
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in marketing, finance and/or economics.
1-2 years experience in account management preferred. Strong analytical and implementation skills.
Solid spreadsheet capabilities.
High competency level in MS Office products including Excel and Access.
Basic understanding of statistics.
Understanding of direct marketing concepts and principles preferred.
Internet experience preferred.
Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
